Joule’s Brewery is proud to introduce the Waterside Tap, our newest venture in the vibrant centre of Birmingham. Nestled along the historic Gas Street canal, this prime waterside location joins our growing Birmingham tap family alongside The Red Lion in the Jewellery Quarter and The New Inn in Harborne.
This is more than just a new pub, it’s a significant milestone for us. We’ve had our hearts set on Birmingham for a long time, and with the Waterside Tap, we’re now right at its centre.

The Waterside Tap will undergo a thoughtful refurbishment, but we’re not in a rush. Our approach is always to restore carefully, with respect for the building and the local community. First, we want to get to know the site, the regulars, and the rhythm of this unique Birmingham neighbourhood.
This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate publican who’s excited to develop a strong food offer and help shape the next chapter of this landmark venue.
We’re Looking for a Publican to Join Us on this Journey
We’re searching for an experienced and passionate pub operator to take the reins and bring the Waterside Tap to life. Someone who shares our belief in the quintessential British pub experience, real fires, great pub food, live music, proper cask ale, good dogs, and even better conversation.
