The Angel Inn sits on one of the towns’ busiest streets and very much complements our local famous Joule’s Tap, The Duke of York. The Angel Inn is the second in a series of Joule’s Craft Beer Bars, a concept being driven by the passion and dedication to the craft beer revolution.
More recently known as Samuels, the craft beer bar has been reinstated to its pre 1930’s title ‘The Angel Inn’. The pub carries a rich heritage and an important survivor of the small parlour pub. Having been carefully recreated with the cosy snugs and corners parlour pubs were once famous, The Angel is also home to a range of interesting memorabilia and inviting real fires.
In addition to a well stocked and significant sized craft beer offering, The Angel Inn work closely with local company ‘Tart Pastries’ and offer locally sourced home cooked bar snacks. The Angel also offer an extensive cheese board served up with breads and pickles, toasted sandwiches, soups and pork pies supplied by well known Evans Butchers in Lichfield.
