Newcastle Town Football club look to mark the start of a fresh chapter with their new main sponsor Joule’s Brewery.

This coming Saturday, at 2pm is the grand opening of their Joule’s club house, followed by a home match kicking off at 3pm against Spalding United. The club are currently 9th in the Evo-Stik league and Spalding United are close behind so Saturday should offer a good game.

The club first made contact with the Brewery back in April and it was officially announced in July, that Market Drayton based Brewery, Joule’s have signed up to a 3 year sponsorship deal with Newcastle Town FC as their main club sponsor, the brewery’s largest sponsorship deal to date. As part of the sponsorship the brewery sponsor both the away kit and the clubhouse, which now stocks a range of Joule’s beers; Joule’s Pale Ale, Blond and their craft lager Green Monkey, Joule’s have also commissioned some hand painted signs for the club, to showcase their sponsorship.

To celebrate the start of the new sponsorship Joule’s invited NTFC down to the brewery for a Tour, where the players and club members tasted some of the famous Joule’s ales and had a tour of the brewery. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the beer was very popular among the visitors, with everyone trying the original Joule’s pale ale, originally brewed by monks in the 1700’s. This also sparked interest and demand for their new cold beer seasonal Buffalo, an American Pale Ale which has been requested to be on the bar at the clubhouse.

Joule’s recently launched their Green Monkey Craft Beer Bus, which will regularly be making an appearance at the football ground. The bus has its Core Range of beer on it as well as playing host to their seasonal ales, the latest core beer being ‘Green Monkey’ an English craft lager which is brewed to the highest German purity standards of ‘Reinheitsgebot’, Green Monkey is naturally carbonated and contains no artificial ingredients, preservatives or additives and is unpasteurised, making it brewery fresh.

Joule’s have a long standing relationship with the town, having four local Joule’s Taphouses near to the club including the newly refurbished The Mainwaring Arms. Newcastle Town FC Chairman Jeff Harrall comments, “Newcastle Town Football Club are delighted to be associated with the award winning Joules Brewery, not only are we looking forward to selling their range of beers in the clubhouse but also becoming involved with their other outlets in the community both on and off the field”.

Community sponsorships play a huge part in the ongoing marketing strategy of Joule’s and the link to the much loved Joule’s Houses.
