The winter warmer name, ‘Old No 6’ gives reference to the Joule’s archive and adds some historic Joule’s colour

Available in December. A traditional, dark & rich ale is the beer for you to enjoy this Christmas.

Joule’s Old No.6 is a dark and brooding winter warmer. Brewed with roasted barley and Munich malt delivering a nutty and roasted fruity flavour.

At 4.8% Old No.6 is warming and satisfyingly complex.

The winter warmer name, ‘Old No 6’ gives reference to the Joule’s archive and adds some historic Joule’s colour. The original inspiration behind Old Number Six came from an unmarked trial brew of a dark beer, titled No 6. No records exist that this ever went to market and was a likely trial brew for one of the many Joule’s celebration ales. It also happens to be the 6th dedicated brew since the new brewery was built so the beer named itself.
